JOB SUMMARY:

In this position you will be responsible to set up and operate a digital press (HP Indigo 5600) required to meet the customer supplied requirements. This position will work closely with other production team members and their Team Leader to finish job to customer specifications.

 

The hours for this position are 11 PM – 7:30 AM, Sunday – Friday.

Base hourly rate plus a shift differential of $1.20 per hour will be paid.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job preparation, production and finishing, ensuring timely, accurate completion.
  • Ensure quality control, making every job the best possible.
  • Set up, operate, clean up, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot machine problems as needed.
  • Handling inquiries regarding job status from the Team Leader and other individuals.
  • Following assignments and prioritization from Manager.
  • Maintaining all software, equipment and logging maintenance records.
  • Other assignments as deemed necessary by the Team Leader.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Lifting up to 35 pounds
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Basic understanding of 4-Color and 6-Color printing
  • Above average mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and eye for quality
  • Printing experience preferred (Cylinder press, Indigo, high speed Sakauri Press)
  • Ability to comprehend and apply technical information
  • Computer knowledge required
  • May require overnight travel for training

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.  One to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good judgment of color, design, and print quality.

Salary: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
