Laser Operator – Your choice of shift!

Position Summary: Set up and operation of the Laser Cutter. Operator will be responsible for the quality of work produced, daily press maintenance, accurate data collection and cleanliness of work area.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the Laser Cutter.
• Communicate any quality and/or machine issues to Team Leader
• Follow all procedures as written
• Maintain the log for daily hours ran
• Complete daily data collection logs
• Ensure that all maintenance is completed as required and records are up to date
• Take ownership of problems and work through team process to resolve
• Work with Production and Material Coordinator to schedule work and meet customer demands
• Assist with any tasks to help with overall performance of operations.

Successful candidates have these qualifications and abilities:  

• Minimum HS Diploma/GED.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Ability to compare work to standards and identify differences
• Computer knowledge
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to interpret dimensional blueprints
• Ability to use calipers and other measuring devices
• Strong problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• Sense of quality
• Ability to maintain a rapid pace
• Ability to multi-task
• Printing, pre-press and/or die cutting experience is preferred for this position.
